Adult Sunday School Class
You can become involved in our church community in so many different ways outside of the Sunday worship service. Each Sunday after the service we have an adult Sunday School class, which meets in the Church Parlor. The class is based on the lectionary (lessons from Scripture) reading and includes open discussion of the Bible verses. Pastor Barbara Schaffer's Sunday sermons are lectionary-based. The class gives us a chance to study the passages further, to expand our search for the meaning and relevance of God’s word, and attempt to apply his teachings to our everyday lives. The class does not require attendance each week and the preparation time is minimal. So we invite you to stop by and join us after the main church service.
Bible Discussion Group
An ongoing Bible discussion group begins its faith journey each Fall and meets at 7:15 pm on Tuesday night.
Other Active Adult Groups
Several other groups meet and share in our community of faith. The United Methodist Women meet during the month and are involved with many of the activities of the church. The Methodist Men meet on designated Sundays after church. They are the founders of our famous annual Lobster Dinner fund raiser. An Adult Fellowship group meets periodically, hosting different social events to enjoy each other’s Christian company.
